Difficult Days!!

Over recent days the institutionalized Church has been the topic of discussion, amongst many Australians, for all the wrong reasons with the recent news of Cardinal George Pell’s conviction.

Recent State and Federal Royal Commissions have unearthed tragic stories of neglect and abuse that cast a shameful shadow over some in the Church who have taken advantage of power and position.

The way forward must be characterized by seasons of humility (James 4:6), repentance (Matthew 3:8), healing (Proverbs 13:17), forgiveness (Ephesians 1:7) and a rebuilding of trust (Proverbs 3:5,6). If you have been struggling and need to talk or pray with someone please don’t hesitate to reach out and ask for the help you require. Let’s pray together that the name of Jesus will be lifted up and that the Church may reflect his glory in days to come.

God bless, Brett
