Life @ Crossway North – Online Bulletin

Crossway North Online Bulletin January 29th, 2017

Did you ever enjoy working on a jigsaw puzzle? Maybe you spent those cold wet winter days hanging out with some family or friends putting a puzzle together. Did you every spend time building things with Lego?

I always found it interesting to start with a piece of Lego or puzzle and end up with a portrait of the Mona Lisa or a Star Wars Death Star ship. It takes time and effort and dedication to see the process through.

Discipleship is kind of like that. You take a piece starting with Jesus and you see what a whole life can be. God is the author and equipper for our growth. But there are things that can help that growth reach what God desires for us. There are disciplines like Bible reading, prayer, meditation and serving in your church.

One of the best ways you can grow in discipleship this year is to join a Connect Group. Connect Groups help us connect with God, connect with each other and connect with a hurting world. Don’t miss out the blessings of being in a Connect Group this year. If you haven’t filled out the Registration form yet, please do so today as they need to be in by the 5th of February. If you have any questions please contact the office.

God Bless,

Rob Tanner.

CWN LOGOJoin Team North in 2017!
We are looking forward to a great year of ministry, starting with our compulsory “Leader’s Orientation” on Friday February 10th (7.30pm – 9pm) or Saturday February 11th (10am – 11.30am) and our ‘Launch’ Sunday on February 12th.
We are planning some new things with our children and youth in 2017 and are therefore seeking volunteers to be involved on a weekly or rostered basis during the school terms. Due to the new ‘Child Safe Standards’ we urgently require more adult help in our Children’s and Youth areas, to be able to offer these valuable ministries in 2017. All leaders/helpers will require a ‘Working With Children Check’ and to attend the Orientation in February.
We are asking you to commit this to prayer, to ask God about your own possible involvement and that He will provide all the leadership we need to grow these ministries in 2017.
“Jesus told them, ‘The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.” (Luke 10:2)
