June 11th, 2017
In the book of Acts we have a picture of a growing and thriving new church spreading as Jesus commanded through Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria and to the ends of the earth. What fascinates me is not only did the believers devote themselves to studying the Apostle’s teaching (what would become our New Testament) and things like evangelism and prayer, but they also devoted themselves to fellowship and breaking of bread.
Our Tuesday night Connect Group starts with a cuppa, some food and a good laugh for at least half an hour. According to the Bible this is just as important as things like Bible study and worship. Sometimes we view life as spiritual or not spiritual. According to God though, the whole of life is spiritual. This includes enjoying a well made cup of coffee or piece of cake along with laughing with some fellow travellers.
I want to encourage the men to come along next Saturday at Ross Tipping’s for our food and fire day. I also want to encourage us all to come along to our Soup and Fellowship luncheon. Not only will you have fun and get some great food, but you will be blessed with God’s grace as Acts encourages us.
God Bless, Rob

Alpha @ Crossway North
On Sunday July 23rd we will launch the Alpha program. Alpha is designed for people who have questions about faith and Christianity. We will be partnering with the Salvos and other churches. The course goes for 12 weeks at the Salvos building in Craigieburn. Get involved by inviting your family and friends who are interested in learning about Christianity or by joining a serving team who will help prepare and serve meals, serve on a children’s program or lead discussion groups. If you have any questions please contact the office.
Next Sunday, June 18th, is Crossway North’s Soup and Fellowship Day. There is only one week left to let us know if you can come and if you’re able to bring soup, dessert or some other food. Following Sunday’s service, members of the Tuesday Connect Group will be available for questions or to sign you up. The Bible clearly talks about fellowship and breaking bread together. Let’s have some fun and get to know each other better. Please contact the office to find out more.

We are seeking volunteers to be involved in our youth and children’s ministries on a weekly or rostered basis during the school terms. Due to the new ‘Child Safe Standards’ we urgently require more adult help in our Children’s and Youth areas to be able to offer these valuable ministries in 2017. All leaders/helpers will require a free Volunteer ‘Working With Children Check’. We are asking you to commit this to prayer, to ask God about your own possible involvement and that He will provide all the leadership we need to grow these ministries in 2017.
